Character Profile: Toby Scott

Toby the protagonist of our film and is shown through out the trailer, unlike the antagonist Creegan, he is likely to be more easily relate-able to members of our target audience, I believe his most relatable parts are his social behaviour, However, that is not to say he is the mass perceived view of normal as he has tendency to become socially awkward in some situations (he can become difficult in expressing the correct emotion for the situation that he may find himself in, this often gets him into large trouble in his life due to childish smiles in the face of aggression and blank expressions in time of joy).  


Some may not connect well with Toby on the other hand because his "addictive and cold state" but due to this state I feel they would be include to except his downsides due to his Innocent nature and this would allow them to sympathise with him.
 
I feel there is a chance that some may find Toby to be a future role model as he is not volatile or aggressive like Creegan, he also has a desire to break his poor habits and addiction which some may find almost heroic.

I want to showcase this in our film trailer by focusing on his traumatic past and his personal fight.






Character Profile: Creegan Donohue

We wanted to show Creegan in a extremely negative view as the stereotypes are often representing the "drug dealer image" so we tried to show him as the very embodiment of the sinister culture of the drug trade.

 

Dark, devious, cunning, cold hearted and above all else, greedy he is a character of volatile and obtrusive nature with his sole aim in life to reap the rewards and benefits of other people’s discomfort and misfortune, primarily making a sizable profit from the drugs that he sells.

 

Sinister by nature, tyrannical and commanding by force it is these attributes that mark the character as one to be viewed with particular discontent, resentment and displeasure from audience members and the other characters alike.

I feel that by showing a character like Creegan it will help to put even more of a bond between viewers and Toby.
